Match made in...Jamaica?

This isn't my typical blog post for an author spotlight, because I haven't actually talked to the author or done an interview, but I did read the book, so that kinda counts :) Mostly I read the book and loved it SO much I wanted to put my review here for a sweet romance that anyone would love. So I'm doing that, because I can, because it's my blog, so I'm entitled. The book is "The Marriage Match" by Tracy March. I love a good romance that will keep me enthralled and the Marriage Match did that and then some. I've been obsessed to finish this book, even falling asleep last night with my kindle on my chest! That's the sign of a great book in my opinion. It was easy, breezy, beautiful, well written (Sorry couldn't steal their line) and incredibly sweet. The really big upside of this book for me is it wasn't filled with cuss words, which is a real hang up of mine when I'm reading. There are several books in this series and I'm super excited to be able to go back and read about Paige and the other couples in this book. Clearly this one can be read as a stand alone because I did and had no problem following it. Here comes the best news of the day, The Marriage Match is only .99 on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and iBooks right now! I'll put the links with the cover below, so get your one clicker on :)

Resort tycoon Trent Hawthorne is looking for a wife. His all-business, no-nonsense grandmother (and the matriarch of the small town of Maple Creek) has selected three potential brides―all beautiful and approved. Each “fantasy date” will take place in a lush Caribbean setting, filmed like a reality show to promote the Hawthorne family’s chain of resorts. All of Trent's hopes for love combined with a clever marketing gimmick…what could possibly go wrong?

As it turns out, all it takes is a kiss. A sizzling, sweet-as-sin kiss. But Cynthia Sawyer isn't one of the bachelorettes, and she's definitely not supposed to be making out with her boss's sexy grandson. Not to mention it's strictly against company policy. But Cynthia has her own reasons for hooking Trent up with a bride who isn’t her as soon as possible. And losing her heart is a price that she's willing to pay…

I'm a sucker for a love at first sight kind of story, and though Trent and Cyn have known each other for awhile, the first time they were alone together sparks flew. The bad part came about due to the fact that Cyn was an employee of Trent's company, even if the company is run by his grandmother, or the 'Queen' as Cyn called her. Cyn was the "queens' personal assistant and getting mixed up with her grandson was out of the question. Cyn was asked to find a perfect marriage match for Trent and she did her best to make sure her 'bachelor' was enjoying his dates, but he only had eyes for one woman, her.

Trent knew he wasn't going to fall for any of those other girls because he already had found the girl of his dreams. He just needed to convince her AND his gran. I won't go any further except to say that his plan is brilliant and the whole story had me captivated in its sweetness. I love a good story I can get lost in without feeling like its contrived or forced. I give The Marriage Match....

5 cups of hot and spicy Jamaican coffee!

If you are one of those readers who wants to read them all in row here are the other two books in the series.

Liza Sutherland isn’t looking for love. Not from a charity-auction date she didn’t even bid on and especially not with Nationals first baseman Cole Collins, the guy she obsessed over as an awkward teenager. She won’t get involved with a notorious player, no matter how attractive Cole is.

Cole Collins is up for contract renegotiation, but after too many late-night parties, he’ll need some positive publicity before he can make the roster. His agent, Frank, pitches Liza as the perfect prop…only Cole didn’t account for Liza no longer being just a teenager with a crush. She’s gorgeous and smart and he’s instantly hooked.

When Frank makes Liza a deal she can’t refuse—a bet she will fall in love with Cole or a cool half mil goes to charity—the game is on. But neither bet on the real feelings that surface. Could a fake fling turn into an official forever?

Paige Ellerbee’s life is far from perfect after moving back to small-town Maple Creek—there’s her struggling bakery, Sweet Bee’s; her aging father; and the fact she’s practically the only single girl in town. But when Lane Anderson, the town’s hot—and young!—new doctor, moves in next door, she wouldn’t mind receiving some intensive care…until their first conversation starts a feud.

Lane came to Maple Creek to lay low after inadvertently being associated with a pill-prescribing scandal. When the gorgeous blonde next door asks for his help with a program that could raise eyebrows, he has to refuse. He's been burned in the past when blinded by love, yet Paige's feisty personality has his blood running hot.

When a little matchmaking lands Lane at Paige’s best friend’s wedding in St. Lucia, suddenly the romantic island vibe tempts them to kiss and make up. A temporary truce might be just what they both want—but forever love might be more than they can agree on.
