Standing on the Edge of Faith

Many of you who have followed my blog and writing know that I write about the doubter in all of us. What I mean by that is I'm writing the stories that remind us we all struggle with something in our lives, but that doesn't mean God has forsaken us. Last year I submitted several of my books to an imprint that promotes books like mine, books that sit on the edge of the circle in Christian fiction and nonfiction, ministering to the forgotten ones, the ones I've been trying to reach with my stories. When I didn't hear anything for months I just figured they weren't interested and didn't think too much more about it until about two weeks ago when I got a message on Facebook saying they just recovered my submission and they would be looking at it in the coming weeks. (Guess next time I better check to make sure they got it!). I was even more pleased when this week they notified me they had accepted my books Granted Redemption and December Kiss to be part of the imprint!

A lifetime ago Grant Harris was an Australian surfer at the top of his sport, until one wave changed everything. Fifteen years later, Grant has become bitter, lonely, and disillusioned. Hoping to jump start his career he accepts a position in Duluth Minnesota, with no way of knowing how quickly his life was about to change.

A lifetime ago Carla Coffers was a runaway teen with no family, no money and no hope for a future. Fifteen years later, she’s a successful business woman as owner of Carla's Kinky Café, on beautiful Lake Superior. Her friends think she’s got it all, but Carla still yearns for the one thing she never had.

A cup of coffee, a car, a confession and a cross come together to grant them redemption from their past and hope for the future.

It’s nearly Christmas in Snowberry Minnesota, but Jay Alexander is feeling anything but jolly. Stuck in the middle of town square with a flat tire on his worn out wheelchair leaves him feeling grinchy.

December Kiss has only been in Snowberry for a few months when she happens upon this broken down boy next door. His sandy brown hair and quirky smile has her hoisting his wheelchair into the back of her four horse Cherokee.
When a December romance blooms Jay wants to give December just one thing for Christmas, her brother. Will Jay get his December Kiss under the mistletoe Christmas Eve?

So you're wondering, just what is The Edge books?

"THE EDGE is a conviction. It’s where we stand to save the lost. It’s stepping away from our comfortable pews to bring God to the world. It’s following Jesus’ example to minister to the outcasts, the overlooked, the forgotten.

THE EDGE is about relationship, not religion. It’s God’s power being stronger and God’s love running deeper than anything people face. It’s being fearless in the face of adversity and willing to look the devil in the eye and say, “You can’t have him or her anymore.”

We are authors, Christians, people walking by faith. We are THE EDGE."

Anyone who knows me is nodding their head right now, right? How many times have I said those exact same words in context to my writing? I've even said them to my pastor as a matter of fact. He doesn't see me in the pews every Sunday, but he gets it. He knows where I am and what I'm doing and he tells me "You get it. You understand how to go out and be the evangelical movement we need in our country, even if it is coming from your computer."

The Edge Books has a great group of ladies who write stories on the edge. I've listed them below. Feel free to check out their books as I know there is something for everyone!
