Mistletoe Mischief (Holiday Review #5)

Today's holiday book review is for Mistletoe Mischief by Stacey Joy Netzel. This is the first book of the series Romancing Wisconsin. Since I live in Wisconsin I grabbed it right away! I wasn't disappointed. This story had all aspects, sweetness, hotness and Christmas in July. It was free when I got it, but now it's full price. It's worth the read though! She currently has the second in the series free, Mistletoe Magic. That book is about Mark Riley, the brother to Eric Riley, who you meet in this book.

Christmas in July at the zoo is the last place single parents Eric Riley and Marissa Wilder expect to find love. Thanks to some mistletoe mischief in the form of their two young daughters and Santa, they discover mistletoe rules were not made to be broken.

Romancing Wisconsin, a USA Today Bestselling Series from NY Times and USA Today bestselling author, Stacey Joy Netzel

To everything there is a season...

Love finds a way during the four seasons in the Romancing Wisconsin Series. Starting with Christmas/Winter, then moving on to the rest of the seasons, check out this bestselling, heartwarming series set in small town Wisconsin, where hope springs eternal for each happily ever after. Military heroes, runaway brides, surprise babies, single parents...meet the Rileys, the Walshes, and best of all, Butch...a.k.a. Santa Butch. The mischievous matchmaker makes a cameo in each story—adding a touch of magic to the lives of everyone he loves, and even those he's just met.

When I saw this book was free on Amazon and that it was about Wisconsin, I grabbed it, since I'm from Wisconsin. I started the book and couldn't stop! I love Heather and Reese, two little matchmakers who want Eric and Marissa to fall in love. A trip to the zoo for summer school brings them face to face with Christmas in July, and Santa. Santa doesn't walk around with just a twinkle in his eye, no, he always has some mistletoe just waiting to bring about a holiday kiss. When Eric and Marissa kiss under Santa Butch's mistletoe, it's an electric spark that they can't stop. The book moves along at a fast clip and before you know it's Christmas time and Eric and Marissa are still standing under that mistletoe and their two little matchmakers love their new family. If you like region books (though other than a few town names mentioned it's nonspecific to anyplace in Wisconsin other than the zoo), blended family stories, with a side of hot military hero, then you'll love Mistletoe Mischief.

I give Mistletoe Mischief 5 cups of hot apple cider!

(Currently Mistletoe Magic is free, so I'm including the read inside portion for anyone interested in reading that one. It can be read as a stand alone if you don't want to read the first one)
