Murder in Christmas River (Holiday Review #11)

Our final review for the 12 days of Christmas Story reviews is for Murder In Christmas River by Meg Muldoon. While this might not be a romance, though Cinnamon does meet someone in this story, it was an awesome Christmas story all the same! I love mystery books, so I had to include one in this batch of reviews, and Murder in Christmas River is deserving. It's a full price book, but you get a full length novel and there are many more in this series.

Cinnamon Peters is one tough cookie.
Every year at Christmas River’s annual Gingerbread Junction Competition, pie baker extraordinaire Cinnamon aims to win, taking down any competitor who gets in her way. But when she finds a dead body in the woods behind her pie shop just days before the big competition, Cinnamon realizes that there’s much more to worry about than cookies, frosting, and gumdrops.
Someone’s out to bring Cinnamon down. And they’re playing dirty.
Only Cinnamon and a mysterious stranger who walks into her life one snowy evening can figure out the mystery.

But can they solve it before Cinnamon’s chances of gingerbread competition glory crumble?

Christmas River is a town that takes Christmas seriously. Cinnamon Peters is one of the townspeople who provide the sugar and spice for this town as the baker who holds the current gingerbread house championship title. When she finds a dead body she has to try and solve that murder and figure out who wants to bring her down. I loved this story, it had everything, an interesting plot line, compelling characters, a touch of romance, and a heavy dose of who dun it. If you love mystery with your Christmas then you'll want to start this fun Christmas River Cozy series with Murder in Christmas River.

I give Murder in Christmas River five sticky yummy gingerbread houses!
