Holiday book review #2 is a reread on a book I read in 2013. The Gift of Gray is a Christmas story by Jan Romes that I love! I decided to reread it this year when the cover caught my eye again on Facebook. It's a rare occasion when I reread a book with so many other Christmas books to choose from, but that's how much I loved Alexis and Gray. The book is 100 pages, and I read it in just a few hours as I crocheted. Check out the read inside portion I've posted below and then my review! Visit Jan Romes' Amazon page as she has several more Christmas stories. I've read them all and loved those too!
Gray Patterson is a grouchy advertising executive with perfectionist tendencies. He's tired of going home to an empty apartment but has little time to date, so he shucks convention in search of a soul mate.
The second Alexis and Gray meet, their personalities collide, but there are also some amazing sparks. Over the course of the weekend, they dodge the convoluted attraction until it begs to be acknowledged. Their relationship takes a major hit when another client reveals Alexis's haunting baggage.
Will chemistry and a peek at love be enough to repair the damage?
Once again I read this one late into the night, just to get to the grand finale, a happy ending! The Gift of Gray belongs on everyone's holiday reading list because it fills you with the holiday spirit and leaves a big ole smile on your face!
I give The Gift of Gray 5 cups of super steamy holiday coffee!
