The Gift of Gray (Holiday Review #2)

Holiday book review #2 is a reread on a book I read in 2013. The Gift of Gray is a Christmas story by Jan Romes that I love! I decided to reread it this year when the cover caught my eye again on Facebook. It's a rare occasion when I reread a book with so many other Christmas books to choose from, but that's how much I loved Alexis and Gray. The book is 100 pages, and I read it in just a few hours as I crocheted. Check out the read inside portion I've posted below and then my review! Visit Jan Romes' Amazon page as she has several more Christmas stories. I've read them all and loved those too!

Alexis Kelly will do anything for her best friends - even work as a masseue at their weekend matchmaking ranch. Besides, she needs the cash and a distraction from the mistakes she made in the name of self-preservation.

Gray Patterson is a grouchy advertising executive with perfectionist tendencies. He's tired of going home to an empty apartment but has little time to date, so he shucks convention in search of a soul mate.

The second Alexis and Gray meet, their personalities collide, but there are also some amazing sparks. Over the course of the weekend, they dodge the convoluted attraction until it begs to be acknowledged. Their relationship takes a major hit when another client reveals Alexis's haunting baggage.

Will chemistry and a peek at love be enough to repair the damage?

Gray won my heart, even though he made you want to hate him! He was crabby, and hard to get along with, but he he had a heart of gold buried somewhere in there. It just took Alexis Kelly to dig it out. Faced with drowning in a sea of debt Alexis takes a job at her best friend's Mistletoe Ranch, where the rich came to find their perfect match. When she finds Gray on her massage table she wants to run, far, far away. Fun ensues and some steamy love scenes to fog up your glasses fill the pages of this great read.

Once again I read this one late into the night, just to get to the grand finale, a happy ending! The Gift of Gray belongs on everyone's holiday reading list because it fills you with the holiday spirit and leaves a big ole smile on your face!

I give The Gift of Gray 5 cups of super steamy holiday coffee!
