Summertime Magic

Summer reading is halfway over and I have a new box set to review today. If you love the magic of weddings then you're gonna love this one. You do have to be a lover of 'insta-love' for the five stories I read because these are novella length, so obviously insta-love is required. I have a few more in the set that I want to read, but I also wanted to get this blog post up for you all while the box set was still on sale! Read on for my review and pick up this great box set for just 0.99 on Amazon and Barnes and Noble!

If you love contemporary and historical wedding romance, or if your favorite beach read involves romantic comedy or a touch of the paranormal--witches, psychic pets, ghosts--don't miss this engaging boxed set!

--All stand-alone wedding stories (no cliffhangers)
--Includes 14 New Releases written expressly for this set

Whether real or only in the hearts of the bride and groom, the magic of weddings is undeniable. And irresistible! As these 15 enchanting happily-ever-afters by bestselling and award-winning authors prove.

From sweet to spicy, the romances bundled into this set cross time and unite hearts, cast spells of laughter, battle wedding jitters and fight back tears, while weaving love's hopeful magic throughout 1400 pages.

Second Chance Bride by Raine English, USA Today bestselling and Award-winning author. She thinks she's marrying the man of her dreams, until a telepathic rescue dog leads her to someone else... Will this bride-to-be say "I do" to the wrong man?

Two Hearts Surrendered by Tamara Ferguson, Bestselling and Award-winning author. Will two warring hearts be strong enough to survive the ultimate battle?

Something Borrowed, Something Blue by Lynda Haviland. She has a wedding to crash--until love gets in the way!

Heart of the Secret (Witches of Lane County) by Jody A. Kessler, Bestselling and Award-winning author. A 500 year-old curse, a witch who will do anything to marry her one true love, and the heart of a secret that will either divide them or bring them together...forever.

The Jealous Love of a Scoundrel by Jane Lark, National bestselling author. How do you fight a calling that comes from your soul?

A Wedding Across the Winds of Time by Bess McBride, National bestselling author. Darius and Molly found each other Across the Winds of Time. Now, it's time for their wedding!

Kiss This by L.L. Muir, National bestselling and Award-winning author. You never expect the florist to catch the bouquet...

Caution is a Virtue by Jennifer Gilby Roberts. How much is too much to risk for love?

Loving Lindy by Jan Romes. In order to become the bank's new Vice President, Gunther Justin has to be "settled." With Lindy McPherson posing as his fiancé everything is set to go off without a hitch--until real feelings get in the way.

With this Kiss by Heather Thurmeier. Does a simple kiss have enough magic to reunite lovers?

Real Magic by Elsa Winckler. She's the bridesmaid, he's a best man. Will the magical evening stay just that or will it turn out to be real after all?

The Wedding Guests (A Tassamara Short Story) by Sarah Wynde. When unexpected guests attend Akira and Zane's wedding, lives will change forever. But for better or for worse?

Second Chance Bride by Raine English, Kya Reynolds is set to marry 'the man of her dreams', but is he? She's starting to think he isn't. He doesn't like dogs, and she owns a dog shelter! Their marriage is only weeks away and he ships off to South America for work. Kya rescues a dog and names him Lucky, and little did she know just how special Lucky was. With the help of Lucky and his best friend Daisy, Kya discovers that Mark is Mr. Wrong, and the man holding the end of Daisy's leash just might be Mr. Right. I love Second Chance Bride because Ms. English made Lucky a character in his own right. This was a very well written, nicely paced for being a novella, and of course a HEA read.

Loving Lindy by Jan Romes. I'm a huge Jan Romes fan and knowing her book was in this box set is the reason I bought it. It was the first book I read in the set, in fact I planned to make it the only book, but like the old saying goes, you can't read just one, but I digress. Loving Lindy starts out with a bang when you meet Lindy banging into her neighbor's garbage can. It's clear that there is no love lost between Lindy and Gunther after living next door to each for the last year. She thinks he needs to learn to control his dog and he thinks she needs to take said dog off his hands. When Gunther is offered the vice presidency at his job he isn't sure he can pull off the one stipulation, especially when he shoots of his mouth without thinking. In true Jan Romes style Loving Lindy has you laughing out loud as you read, and lots of cheering for the underdog (literally) until the very end. I really enjoyed this story a lot because my brother owns a pet shop and that made it a little extra personal for me.

With this Kiss by Heather Thurmeier. Ex's Max and Jenna are being forced to spend the weekend together in Vegas for their mutual friends' wedding. Jenna vowed to do anything to make the bride, Leah, happy on her special weekend. When Leah insists they take a gondola ride Jenna assumes the ride will be a simple tour around the Venetian, until she's told the secret of the kissing bridge. Hounded by Leah and her fiance Jacob, Max and Jenna share a kiss under the kissing bridge. Strange things start to happen and over the next two days Max and Jenna work together to figure out if the kiss was really magic or if what they were feeling was real. I loved With This Kiss simply because it was so much fun! I'm a sucker for any story written about Vegas and this one was super cute with a plot I hadn't read before.

The Wedding Guests (A Tassamara Short Story) by Sarah Wynde. It's Akira and Zane's wedding and Meredith stood in the church watching Akira talk to an imaginary person, as though she could see him. This wasn't the only strange happening for this couple. The Wedding Guests was a great little story with just the right touch of paranormal to make it believable, but not so much that those of us who don't read paranormal romance would stop reading. This was a story of love for the here and now as well as those who have gone before us. In true southern style Meredith is so busy taking care of her mother she doesn't have time to look for love, but love is looking out for her. There is very little I can say about this story that doesn't give something away, so I will just say this was a super fun, sassy, and supernatural story you don't want to miss!

Two Hearts Surrendered by Tamara Ferguson, Bestselling and Award-winning author. Two Hearts Surrendered was an awesome novella! I had some personal reasons for reading this on;, one because I'm from Wisconsin and the other because I am an amputee. I won't give anything away, but suffice it to say that the road for Kelly and Luke is long and painful. Can she be strong when he needs it and can he be strong when she needs it? The answer is found between the pages of a very well written story. I was pleased to see the amputee storyline was well done, empathetic and well researched, which often isn't the case in many of the books I've read. This one story in the box set not to miss! (And was excited to see the shout out to Rice Lake!)
I give the Magical Weddings 5 cups of magically hot coffee!
