Blame The Mistletoe ~ Dani Colllins

Today's 12 Days of Christmas Romance Novels is Blame the Mistletoe by Dani Collins, book 2 of the Love in Montana Series (I read it as a stand-alone and had no problem following it without reading book 1). Blame the Mistletoe is still free at the time of this posting.

I want to start this review by saying if you're looking for a super sweet and clean Christmas romance, this is not the book for you. This is a super sexy, hot apple cider spicy kind of romance. Don't get me wrong, it's super sweet too, but there is plenty of sexy time. With that out of the way, let me say, I LOVED Liz and Blake's story! Both of them are older (35 and 38) and have kids and ex's to deal with. It was so realistic in terms of how blended families work, and how often kids get caught up in the trials and tribulations of adults relationships. It was nice to see a female character who could stand on her own two feet and give as good as she got. It was also nice to see a male character who wasn't a billionaire and everything revolved around how much money he had. All in all, I found their story to be sweet, (sexy), loving, realistic, quick, and a romantic Christmas read for the season! I would definitely sit by the fire with a glass of hot cocoa (okay, we all know it would be coffee) and devour this book start to finish.

I give Blame the Mistletoe 5 Hot and Spicy cups of cider!

*While the book looks long when you download it, it's actually only about 130 pages (It is a full story) with an excerpt of the next book and a bonus story included after that. I didn't read either of those, so I cannot comment or review them, since I'm concentrating on Christmas stories right now.*

USA Today Bestselling author, winner of 2013 Reviewer's Choice Award from Romantic Times Book Reviews.

Before making my first sale to Harlequin Mills & Boon in 2012, I spent two decades writing and submitting to every publisher with a transom while holding down a day job and raising a family with my high school sweetheart. Since then, I've gone to contract on over forty books.

While Harlequin Presents remains my first love, I also write romantic comedy, medieval fantasy romance, erotic romance, and small town contemporary romance for Tule Publishing's Montana Born. In fact, I write just about anything, so long as it's romance. P.S. I'm also Canadian.
