Tangled in Tinsel ~ Stacy Eaton

Today's book is Tangled in Tinsel by Stacy Eaton. This was a fun couple hour long book that hooks you to the town and the characters in it! I can't wait to read the rest of the Celebration Series! This book is free at the time of this post.

Being the new girl in town is hard, especially when you’re running from your past. It even gets harder when your handsome neighbor is a police officer who wants to get to know you. No matter how much Casey tries to avoid Thad, something is always pulling them together.

Thad has lived in Celebration Township his entire life, and it’s not until a beautiful brunette moves in next door that his eye is finally caught. If only she didn’t push him away at every chance she got.

When an unexpected visitor shows up at Casey’s house a few days before Christmas, her future and past collide. Will Thad figure it out what’s going on in time, or will Casey end up being a conspirator to a murderer.

The Celebration Series:

Celebration Township is made for family, friends, falling in love, and don’t forget celebrating the holidays.
The first twelve books bring two people onto center stage as they overcome odds and figure out what their futures may hold. There is laughter, love, romance and even suspense when you join these couples as they each find a happily ever after over a holiday. The thirteenth book brings all twelve couples, and even a few special guests, into final focus as the first couple in Tangled in Tinsel prepares for their wedding one year after they met.

Tangled in Tinsel was a fun little romp through the life of Casey Lowe and Officer Thad Wagner. As the new girl in town, Casey moves in next door to Thad and starts her new job as a nurse supervisor at the local ER. The problem? She's hiding a past she's ashamed of. She's drawn to Thad, but is convinced he's married and won't be a homewrecker.

I loved this book in that the characters were real and interesting, the story moved along quickly and you could read it in a night. The only thing to make my eye twitch was how many times the character fixated on him being married. To the point she had multiple different options to ask, and never did. She never asked anyone in town if he was married, even when the handyman suggested she and Thad would be perfect for each other and should go on a date! That part drove me a little nuts, but the rest of the story was enough to keep me turning the pages to see if they found happiness together.

The surprise ending really sang to my romantic suspense heart, and while the situation and resolution were speedy (it is a novella) it was enough to put all those questions to rest and make your heart happy with their happily ever after.

I give Tangled in Tinsel four stars of that's one hot cop coffee!
