One Little Indiscretion ~ Joss Woods

Today I'm reviewing One Little Indiscretion by Joss Wood! This was a wonderful start to a new series, Murphy International, and I look forward to the next books!
Just one night?

All she can say is yes…

“I need to talk to you.”

And this time she must resist temptation…

Sadie Slade isn’t interested in romantic entanglements. She’s been there, done that. But handsome CEO Carrick Murphy tangles things up for her—fast. Their steamy one-night stand has made them parents-to-be. And she still can’t stop fantasizing about a repeat with the stubborn bachelor—despite the secrets they’re both keeping. Is it time for them to take a chance on happiness?

This was a great first book to a new series by Joss Wood! It was a common romance troupe done with an added layer of complication for both Sadie and Carrick. There wasn't a lot of depth to the complications but the story was told in such a way you were invested in them from page one.

Sadie had married a man she thought loved her, only to face emotional abuse until she left him, but no one believed her. She was wary of men and Carrick Murphy was no different. His reputation through a mutual friend was less than stellar and Sadie was all about working to help him prove a painting was real but otherwise steering clear of the bad boy.

At least until he showed up on her doorstep concerned after she was hurt on his watch. Their chemistry was undeniable but you know what they say about one little indiscretion, it can have consequences that last a lifetime.

Learning to trust again was hard for Sadie AND Carrick. They'd both been hurt by their previous marriages and neither one had any trust in reserve.

While there was a lot of back and forth about their pasts that got a little tedious by the end, you were still rooting for these to find their way together and to grasp that golden ring of HEA.

I loved the set up for this series with the other characters in the story. Joa and Ronan had chemistry that didn't end, and I can't wait to see the love/hate relationship that Keely and Wilfred are going to light up the pages with.

You can't go wrong starting this new series with One Little Indiscretion!

Joss Wood loves books and travelling— especially to the wild places of Southern Africa and, well, anywhere.

She’s a wife, a mom to two teenagers and slave to two cats. After a career in local economic development, she now writes full time.

Joss is a member of the RWA (Romance Writers of America) and ROSA (Romance Writers of South Africa.)
